Rules and Daily Routine
Companion Shift Changes:
7:00 AM to 9:00 AM (Morning) and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Evening)
SOPAI Hospital offers two designated times for companion rotation. Companions must be family members, 18 years or older, in good health, and must present a valid photo ID.
Visiting Hours:
3:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Check your specific ward’s designated visiting days.
- Visitors must present a valid photo ID.
- Visitors must be at least 16 years old with ID;
- For Ward 6, visitors must be 18 years or older with photo ID.
Locker Room Service:
Available from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Only bring what is necessary to the ward (underwear, personal hygiene items, diapers).
Companion Declaration:
The Social Services team issues daily declarations for companions for work-related purposes. Medical certificates must be requested from the physician at patient discharge.
Transportation Requests:
Patients from other municipalities in Ceará are entitled to transportation.
At discharge, request it through Social Services.
Patients should remain in their bed until the ambulance arrives.
Medications:
The hospital does not provide medication for companions.
If medication is needed, please coordinate with the family.
General Guidelines:
- Avoid unnecessary movement within the hospital
- Address any questions to the medical or nursing team assigned to your ward
- Wash your hands regularly
- Wear the official companion uniform
- Wearing a face mask is recommended both inside and outside the wards — protect yourself!
